Guidewire came up with their own OOTB product “Datahub & InfoCenter” designed in SAP BODS tool for building Datawarehouse from their source systems PolicyCenter, BillingCenter & ClaimCenter. Business users can build their reports on InfoCenter to get better data insights about the Organisation and helps in taking strategic decisions which can maximize the profits and run the business effectively.
We at Dark Magnetars has intensive knowledge on Guidewire source systems, Facts & Dimension data modelling & DH-IC ETL process i.e., tracking the changes from the source system, extract & transforming the data, cleansing & validation rules, loading into DataHub which is staging layer, Audit & finally processing the data from DataHub into InfoCenter which is the actual Datawarehouse followed by Audit
Accelerator: We have built an accelerator in DH-IC space which will automate 50 – 60% of the developer work. This will benefit our customer to finish the DH-IC project with less operating costs.

Every Insurance company tie up with Third Party suppliers for few business benefits like Claims Fraud detection/ electronic document management. There will also be a need to feed the data to their own systems to do policy pricing/ to maintain their general ledger for accounting purpose / to maintain policy search and retrieve operational datastore for creating Claims when PolicyCenter is not ready.
We at Dark Magnetars have enormous knowledge in analysing the requirements for any external data integration, come up with an effective ETL design (CDC, Extract, Transform, Cleanse, Validate and Load), Develop and deliver high quality code which will not cause any performance/data issues in the future.
Guidewire Data Reconciliation
In this large ocean of Guidewire data stream (DH-IC/ Data Migration/ External Data Integrations), ETL testing plays a crucial role in identifying bugs in data processing by comparing source and target data sets at count level and at attribute level.
ETL testing is also necessary if Client upgrades their infrastructure/ Guidewire applications i.e., PC/BC/CC/DH-IC upgrading to latest versions.
We at Dark Magnetars formed a testing crew who can effectively decode the ETL requirements to SQL code and compare the SQL code driven data set and the Target database (loaded through ETL pipelines) to identify data issues.
Accelerator: We have built an accelerator which can speed up the ETL testing by 50% by automatically producing a Summary and Detail report post comparing the source (developed by SQL code by tester) and target (loaded through ETL pipelines) data sets. This is very effective in doing regression testing without any extra effort.
This can be used in any Data project i.e., DH-IC, Data Migration, External Data Integration, Guidewire Application upgrade, Infrastructure Upgrade (ETL tool/ Database) and even in any non-Guidewire systems for serving the Data Reconciliation.
